Jenevieve Chang is a performer and practitioner who has been making work across theatre, dance and live art since 2000. She holds a BA Communications (Theatre/Media) from Charles Sturt University, and an MA Movement Studies from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London. She is interested in work which can excite an audience about the live event and developing performance languages through interdisciplinary collaborations.
In Australia, she has worked with Sidetrack Performance Group, Urban Theatre Projects, State of Play and Legs on the Wall as well as Chopped Logic, Yellow Earth Theatre and Benjamin Zephanaiah in the UK. As a solo artist she has performed and worked in Berlin, Vienna, Llubljana and Montreal and presented work at the British Museum, the Chinese Arts Centre in Manchester, Port Eliot Literary Festival, the ICA Theatre and Latitude.
Jenevieve also worked as an Education Officer at the Victoria and Albert Theatre Museum in London between 2004-2007 and developed a range of workshop curriculum in performance-making and history.
Initially supported by the Arts Council UK on a project residency, Jenevieve has spent the past 3 years living and working in Shanghai where she co-founded Fifth Wall – a hub of international artists engaged in immersive performance; and was Show Manager at Chinatown: China’s first Vaudeville-style Cabaret club.
